B.A. Chapman has crafted a dystopian nightmare that’s part Black Mirror, part high-octane police procedural but with a psychological horror twist that feels terrifyingly possible. The story hits the ground running when Detective Drake finds Amelia, a woman who is essentially a living ghost, covered in scars and claimed by a "Keeper." From there, it’s a descent into the bowels of THE CONSORTIUM, an organization that doesn't just want to control people; they want to delete their souls. The sheer audacity of the horror is raw. It’s dark, it’s clinical, and it’s deeply human. Watching Amelia transition from a broken victim to a literal wrench in the gears of a global conspiracy is the kind of character arc that makes you want to stand up and cheer.

JJ SHARPLE’S MYSTERIES: It Fell From the Sky delivers a fast-paced adventure centered on a curious young sleuth confronted with a puzzling object that quite literally drops into the community’s midst. Melia does a brilliant job keeping both stories exciting and balanced, building a rich alien world full of dangerous creatures, hidden betrayals, and political scheming while showing how Teodor and Guy grow stronger, braver, and more confident with every challenge they face. Fast-paced, action-packed, and full of heart, this is the kind of science fiction story that grabs you from the first page and refuses to let go until the very last word.

Adeline Bryant isn’t just giving us another werewolf story in FATED; she’s handing us a masterclass in identity crisis and high-stakes longing. We’ve got Caleb who’s basically white-knuckling his way through leadership; Lena, who is way too fierce to just play the "damsel" role; and Kai, whose internal tug-of-war between privilege and terror is honestly heartbreaking. While "destiny" is in the title, the book is really about choice. It’s messy, it’s passionate, and the pack politics feel like a chess match where the pieces have feelings. If you like your paranormal romance with a side of "I'm screaming at these characters to just talk to each other," this is your next obsession.

A LEGACY OF RAVENS by S. Ramsey is a deceptively deep fantasy novel, rich in mythological detail, full of unexpected twists and turns, and both passionately and sweetly romantic. It’s obviously the first novel in a series, as there’s enough unresolved drama for a sequel or two (or more), but it’s a great beginning. Lovers of Norse mythology in particular will enjoy this one—the author has clearly done her homework and has some intriguing takes on old stories.
