An Open Book with Ghislaine Florence Labelle

Awarded 4+ stars and the IndieReader Approved seal—here’s what the author has to say.

About the Book

In 150 words or less, give us your back-jacket summary — what’s this book about?

For decades, leadership has been shaped by authority, control, and ego—a model that is now clearly outdated.

As the world evolves, a new kind of leadership is emerging, one guided by compassion, consciousness, and the wisdom of the heart. Power and prestige no longer align with our deepest human values. The mind has dominated for long enough; it is time for the heart to lead.

With over twenty years of experience mentoring and coaching leaders across multiple sectors, Ghislaine Florence Labelle introduces a leadership approach rooted in purpose, awareness, and human values.

This book speaks to anyone in a position of influence, whether a political leader, executive, manager, team member, or parent. Your words and actions matter. They shape organizations, communities, and the future we are creating together.

Towards a New Leadership invites you to lead with authenticity and compassion, and to make a meaningful, positive difference.

Are you ready to lead from the heart?

What’s the book’s first line?

“Discover how to be a powerful and inspirational leader.”

What inspired you to write this book?

After more than twenty years of supporting and coaching leaders from various spheres of the business world, I felt the need to contribute to the transformation of the dictatorial leadership style, which is now outdated and completely misaligned with the new planetary energy. Moreover, we are all witnessing and experiencing the results of this dysfunctional leadership in our world today.

Contrary to what many people think, today’s leaders are looking for more meaning in what they do, knowing deep down that they are, in some way, disconnected from their core values and the wisdom of their hearts.

Make the case — why should someone read this book?

Many leaders think they must sacrifice values to win. But the book proves the opposite. When you stand by honesty, respect, and integrity, you don’t lose opportunities. you attract the right ones. The real loss happens when you betray yourself.

Share a line from the book you’re particularly proud of.

“I realize that I cannot control every situation, nor other people, but I do have control over one person, myself, and my reaction to the situations and behaviors of others. Raising my own consciousness allows me to be part of the solution and collective transformation, instead of contributing to collective problems.”

About the Author

When did you first decide to become an author?

I have always loved writing. My first self-help book published by “Le Dauphin Blanc” in 2017, “À la découverte de soi”, was written over a 6-year period.  I would write whenever I had free time or was inspired.  I decided to become an author, as I wanted to contribute and coach not only to 1 person at a time, but reach as many as possible. Being a business executive coach, I could see the need for people to find hope and faith, and receive Self-Help tools, that had not only helped me in my transformative journey, but that have helped hundreds of customers that I have had the honor to work with and coach for over 20 years. Not everyone can afford a coach, so I love finding ways through my work as an author to coach, guide, and inspire as many people as possible, especially during these very difficult times.

What else have you written?

« À la découverte de soi » (2017). « Le Leadership de Cœur » in 2018, which is the French version of this New Book “The Power of Heart-Centered Leadership”.

What do you do for work when you’re not writing?

I am and Professional Certified Leadership Coach and Facilitator.

What does your writing process look like?

I write parts of my books over a certain time, when I have free time, and when I feel inspired. I save the parts, and then when I feel that the book is complete, I go over all the chapters and pieces and put them back into a coherent sequence. Then I have the manuscript edited.

What does being an indie author mean to you?

I am honored and encouraged and very touched by the review that I was given by one of your professionals. It gives me more confidence that the book is good, and the review brought tears to my eyes, as I was very touched by what stood out for the person who read my work.

What do you wish you’d known before you published?

I wish I had known how to make my books more visible and to find a publisher who could market the book properly.

What’s a great piece of advice you can share with fellow indie authors?

To write not focused on the result, focus on the essence of the message you wish to share, and the impact that you want you book to have on readers.  What is your true intention behind writing your book?

What are you reading right now?

A Course in Miracles, and Daily Disciplines, 90 days of Personal Growth by Skip Ross.

What’s next for you?

I am working on my new book, “The Why Express” 😊
