The 7 Universal Laws: The Hidden Rules Behind the Mind, Emotions, and the Architecture of the Universe
2. What’s the book’s first line?
Universal laws are fundamental principles that are known to govern the structure and behavior of the universe.
3. What’s the book about? Give us the “pitch”.
The money you have today is the result of your actions. Your actions are driven by your emotions. And your emotions… are determined by how your mind interprets external events. Here’s what most people never realize: You can change your money, your business, your relationships, your health… by changing a single thing. Your interpretation. You can’t control events. And controlling emotions directly is unreliable. But there is one place where you have real leverage: The interpretation: the meaning your mind assigns to what happens. And that changes everything that follows. This is why Warren Buffett said: “Until you can manage your emotions, don’t expect to manage money.”
But how do you actually do that?
Not with motivation.
Not with willpower.
You need a better framework. A better way to understand, predict, and guide how your mind works.
The 7 Universal Laws give you exactly that.
A clear, practical system that shows:
• Why your mind reacts the way it does
• What your interpretations are quietly creating in your life
• And how to transform them, with precision, in your favor
This is not theory. This framework has been refined through over 15,000 hours of one-on-one work with real people facing real challenges.
The result?
A system so effective that Monica Ion has been recognized as Romania’s #1 coach and has been featured in Forbes, Business Insider, CNN, and many others. Inside this USA Today bestseller, you will discover the hidden logic your mind already follows…so you can finally work with it, instead of against it.
Your results are not random. They follow laws. Learn them. Apply them. Master your mind and emotions.
4. What inspired you to write the book? A particular person? An event?
We noticed that it was quite difficult for people to grasp the abstract concept of universal laws. So Monica and I set out to create a book filled with stories and facts that illustrate how anyone can solve painful problems using these laws.
At one point, a friend insisted that I include as many stories as possible and avoid turning it into a theoretical manual. Fortunately, I listened to him, and the book is now full of vivid stories that readers deeply appreciate.
5. What’s the main reason someone should really read this book?
To discover the hidden logic your mind already follows, so you can work with it, instead of against it.
6. When did you first decide to become an author?
We knew for many years that we would write a book at some point, but we didn’t know when. Over time, we accumulated a vast amount of experience. Monica alone completed more than 15,000 hours of one-on-one paid sessions with clients. When the idea for the book emerged in December 2024, we wrote more than 55,000 words in less than three weeks. Then it took 6 months to copyedit and polish everything.
It is the first book we wrote together, but it is definitely not the last. In May 2026, we are going to publish a novel inspired by true events that continues the ideas in The 7 Universal Laws. The novel is called Power on Heels – A Tale of Ten Healing Meetings. It is the story of a woman transitioning through the so-called midlife crisis and emerging stronger and brighter, by applying the universal laws.
8. What do you do for work when you’re not writing?
We both spend time working with groups and one-on-one, applying the universal laws with people who want to solve business, money, or relationship problems, and gain control over their minds and emotions. We also create content, film, and work with our team to create new programs for clients.
9. How much time do you generally spend on your writing?
Monica spends very little time writing. She prefers to speak and record what she says. Stefan puts the ideas into writing for both Monica and him and polishes the text until it reaches the desired form.
10. What’s the best and the hardest part of being an indie?
For our first book, we deliberately wanted to have as much independence as possible, which is why we chose self-publishing. We wouldn’t have it any other way. The best part was the flexibility to market the book as we wanted, change the price when needed, and even change the cover twice.
11. What’s a great piece of advice that you can share with fellow indie authors?
Writing a book is like a marriage. Getting married is just the beginning, not the end. After you write the book, that is the biggest part of the relationship. Prepare for that, and promote the book tirelessly for a few years, or at least until you sell 20,000 copies. Learn about proper book marketing.
12. Would you go traditional if a publisher came calling? If so, why?
Maybe. But at this stage, I would say we would only go that route if we are able to keep our independence and flexibility.
13. Is there something in particular that motivates you (fame? fortune?)
We know we have a mission to share the universal laws with the world. We hope that one day every home and workplace will have someone who understands the universal laws and knows how to ask the right questions to solve painful problems and achieve meaningful goals.
14. Which writer, living or dead, do you most admire?
Plato and Aristotle are two giants whom we admire greatly because they influenced humanity’s thinking for more than two millennia.
15. Which book do you wish you could have written?
The Bible. Or at least, a book that would have made it into the Bible. We’re joking, of course. We are quite happy with The 7 Universal Laws book. We don’t wish we had written any other one.
