Following find an interview with author David Gittlin:
1. What is the name of the book and when was it published?
“The AndroBiotica Adventures” was published September 15, 2025.
2. What’s the book’s first line?
Observing my supervisor, Clive Borinsky, I wonder, for the four hundredth time, why does he only call me by my last name?
3. What is the book about?
An entertaining glimpse into the future of AI captured in a riveting story across space and time. The AndroBiotica Adventures chronicles the futuristic life and times of Derrick Faulk, an agent, investigator, and explorer surrounded by a rare breed of extraordinary friends and associates.
4. What inspired you to write the book? A particular person? An event?
I found writing to be the most interesting and absorbing part of my job as a Marketing Director. When I turned 50, I decided to write fiction. I started with screenplays and graduated to novels.
5. What’s the main reason someone should really read this book?
It is entertaining and thought-provoking.
6. What’s the most distinctive thing about the main character?
Who-real or fictional-would you say the character reminds you of? Derrick Faulk is conflicted and sad about his past relationship with a nearly human android named Aurora. The character is a conglomeration of people I have known, read about, and my personal journey through life.
7. When did you first decide to become an author?
At age 50.
8. Is this the first book you’ve written?
No. I’ve written 13 books.
9. What do you do for work when you’re not writing?
I no longer have a regular job. I write and play music posted online.
10. How much time do you generally spend on your writing?
About 2 hours per day.
