THE EAST WING

In Danielle M. Wong's THE EAST WING, an aspiring author inherits her grandfather's estate and finds herself drawn into a psychological chiller that builds into a full thriller as more characters emerge and the atmosphere turns frightening. The first half asks for patience as the protagonist works through her fears, nightmares, insomnia, and fragmented memories of a car accident, but the payoff arrives in the second half when the pace picks up and the secrets of the East Wing come into view. Despite a somewhat predictable ending, this is an intriguing read for those who relish a last-minute twist.
