From cops tying themselves in moral knots over whether it's appropriate to check lockers following a school shoot-out to a police department that seems purpose-built to implode, the satire hits hard and doesn't let up. Then there are the human-animal mutants (a chaotic group): Lizard Man slinks his scaly way into women's underwear drawers, while Cat Woman, thoroughly rejected by the scientific community, pivots to a career in erotic online chats. It's outrageous, it's hilarious, and it's entirely on purpose. Packed with vivid imagery and glorious wit, SUPER SCIENCE: Vol 1. is an absolute winner.
