MURDER AT THE APHRODISIA

MURDER AT THE APHRODISIA follows a trio of self-proclaimed "goddesses"—Elizabeth, Tasha, and Dawn—as they throw a Greek-inspired party to celebrate Tasha's acquisition of a lavishly restored beach house. But the party brings chaos, in the form of a literal Trojan horse, the return of familiar faces, and a murder on the premises. With the help of new assistant Cassie and the beautiful Helena, the goddesses uncover a convoluted scheme of blackmail, secrets, and obsessive fans. The story itself is compelling; however, the volume does not appear to have been edited and has cases on every page of missing words, incorrect spelling and grammar, and even a case of a character having two different names a few lines apart. Combined with the characters' tendencies to monologue rather than events playing out believably, it is unfortunately a bit tough to enjoy the mystery at this book's core.
