L.M. Mountford’s GIVE US BAD BOYS & BILLIONAIRES does not pretend to be about anything other than sex: enthusiastic, vigorous, and very, very naughty. The short stories involved feature a wide range of sexual practices and preferences designed to appeal to a variety of fantasies. The writing is intense, highly erotically charged, uninhibited, and includes just enough background context and story to introduce and emphasize the sexual content. There’s no shame here, nor any pretense that the smut is simply part of a larger story. This is pure erotica, no excuses.

Readers should be aware that these include some possibly triggering or upsetting situations: young adults of both sexes being taught pleasure and/or dominated sexually by much older adults, for example. There are situations where consent is dubious—including at least one that, if it happened in real life, would amount to outright gang rape. Those whose fantasies are more fantastical will find stories featuring werewolves and vampires, and there’s at least one good action-adventure police story in here, too. While most of this is sheer porn without (much) plot, a few of the stories here could be expanded into action-filled and engaging tales in their own rights. What is present here would then serve merely as a deliciously smutty chapter in a lively and entertaining larger work.

Werewolf story “Alpha Bitch” and crime drama “Unfinished Ex,” for example, each have an interesting-enough backstory and sufficiently rich potential to be expanded into a larger fantasy or action novel (respectively). That would require a hot romance plot or subplot, rather than simply the few erotic scenes we get here. From story to story, the descriptive language used for the sex scenes can get a bit repetitive (there are only so many ways to describe coitus, really); but, honestly, this is a book meant to be dipped into here and there as the reader’s fantasies and erotic preferences suggest—rather than read all at once front to back—so that’s less of a problem.

All in all, this book is exactly what it says it is on the cover: a collection of bad boys, billionaires, and other erotic characters having sex in a wide variety of vigorous and energetic ways—all described in breathless and enthusiastic detail for the reader’s enjoyment. The stories here have one job, they do it well, and they don’t make excuses.
