Advice from IR Approved Author Corinne Price: “My motivation is purely wanting others to read my books and love the characters and stories as much as I do.”

Wrought In Flesh: Received a 4+ star review, making it an IndieReader Approved title.

Following find an interview with author Corinne Price:

1. What is the name of the book and when was it published? The book is titled “Wrought In Flesh” and is set to release April 10th 2026

2. What’s the book’s first line? The first line is “The creased leather of the grimoire felt like flesh under Sybil’s fingertips.”

3. What’s the book about? Give us the “pitch”. The book is about a soldier under the thumb of a corrupted oligarchy who mistakenly sacrificed her friend to a demonic race below ground, and is slowly unravelling the secrets that surround her.

4. What’s the main reason someone should really read this book? This book is for people who love dark fantasy with a touch of horror and romance that are sick of watching their world burn around them and want to see a heroine rise above it.

5. What’s the most distinctive thing about the main character?  Who-real or fictional-would you say the character reminds you of? The most distinct characteristic of the main characters are their runes, the Inked enchantments that are inscribed on their bodies. As well as Sybil Wyntres’s chaotic magic she is still fighting to control. Of real life people, I crafted her after the strong women I work with every day in the mechanical industry.

6. When did you first decide to become an author? I decided at 13 years old, and have finally put it into a more serious focus in the last five.

7. Is this the first book you’ve written? It is the first published book I have written

8. What do you do for work when you’re not writing? I am a red seal industrial mechanic

9. Is there something in particular that motivates you (fame? fortune?) My motivation is purely wanting others to read my books and love the characters and stories as much as I do.
