1. What is the name of the book and when was it published? GONE COUNTRY (Aug. 12/25)

2. What’s the book’s first line? “What the fuck, Shorty?”

3. What’s the book about? Give us the “pitch”. A fiery enemies-to-lovers romance set in Nashville’s country scene, where sparks fly, secrets simmer, and love hits all the right notes.

4. What inspired you to write the book? A particular person? An event? I’ve always wanted to write an enemies-to-lovers book and Nashville felt like the right city for this story.

5. What’s the main reason someone should really read this book? It’s a fun, quick-read that will capture your heart.

6. What’s the most distinctive thing about the main character? Who-real or fictional-would you say the character reminds you of? She’s a rock star with a chip on her shoulder. He’s a laid-back country singer she can’t stand. She thinks he’s had it too easy. He thinks she takes herself way too seriously. Their worlds collide—and neither is ready for the sparks that fly.  

7. When did you first decide to become an author? I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember.

8. Is this the first book you’ve written? ROCK CRUSH AND ROLL was my debut novel (2023)

9. What do you do for work when you’re not writing? I run a nonprofit for artists.

10. How much time do you generally spend on your writing? It takes me two months to write a book and forever to edit it.

11. What’s the best and the hardest part of being an indie? The best is meeting readers and the most difficult is marketing.

12. What’s a great piece of advice that you can share with fellow indie authors? Just write it. The rest will come.

13. Would you go traditional if a publisher came calling? If so, why? Depends on the vision they had for my book.

14. Is there something in particular that motivates you (fame? fortune?) I have to get these stories out of my head.

15. Which writer, living or dead, do you most admire? Impossible question! Margaret Atwood.

16. Which book do you wish you could have written? Daisy Jones & The Six.
