What is the name of the book and when was it published?

A Glossary of Life – Deeper Meaning Behind Our Common Words; Published July 2018.

What’s the book’s first line?

“Truth cannot be created… it can only be discovered.”

What’s the book about? Give us the “pitch”.

Throughout human history, timeless truths about life, death, and meaning have echoed from enlightened teachers and have been captured in ancient texts. But over the passage of time, shifting sands of language and culture have concealed much of that wisdom. A Glossary of Life is a short book that reconnects humanity to ancient truths by retelling them in easy to understand, modern-day language. This book – and each of its 133 glossary topics – distills ageless philosophy and wisdom into bite-sized paragraphs intended to expand awareness and take the reader on a journey of self-discovery. It is a guide for revealing a happiness hidden within each of us… a spark that ignites our full potential and illuminates the many hidden wonders life holds.

What inspired you to write the book? A particular person? An event?

I’ve always been a seeker of answers to life’s big questions… as well as an observer of and experimenter with life. Beginning in high school, this curiosity and engagement lent itself to journaling that continued for almost 30 years. It propelled a thirst to take in most of the ancient, philosophical and spiritual literary classics – as well as many modern classics – in this genre. I became inspired to share – not just what I had learned – but also the trial and error I have lived throughout this pursuit.

What’s the main reason someone should really read this book?

This book is short and an easy read. It’s not a quick read, because it may cause you to pause and reflect quite a bit… but that’s the point. Far-reaching concepts about life, death, and truth are distilled into very dense and efficient language. Each in our own way, we’re all here exploring ourselves and what it means to be alive. The main reason to read this book is to give yourself a fresh perspective on that exploration… and to discover that there’s more to you and to life than you could possibly imagine.
