What is the name of the book and when was it published? 

Remarkably Intact…Angels are No Strangers to Chains– Feb. 2018

What’s the book’s first line? 

For as long as I can remember…I’d always been told I was “broken”

What’s the book about? Give us the “pitch”. 

The book follows my life as a burn and abuse survivor, my business career and my founding of the nation’s largest non-profit for burn survivors.

What inspired you to write the book? A particular person? An event? 

I’d been asked by many to pen this book, it took the right person, the right day and the right amount of trust to move forward.

What’s the main reason someone should really read this book? 

To find hope, inspiration and ability to forgive.

If they made your book into a movie, who would you like to see play the main character(s)?

Amy Adams.

When did you first decide to become an author?

I’ve been writing articles for several years, I decided to write this book with the encouragement of a friend and fellow business associate in 2014

Is this the first book you’ve written?

Yes

What do you do for work when you’re not writing?

Managing the Moonlight Fund, a non profit for burn survivors, writing grants, speaking publicly, riding my horses and drinking in the Texas sunsets.

How much time do you generally spend on your writing?

2-3 hours a day

What’s a great piece of advice that you can share with fellow indie authors?

Be authentic.

Would you go traditional if a publisher came calling?  If so, why?

Yes,

depending upon the circumstances.

Is there something in particular that motivates you (fame? fortune?)

None of these…it was time to tell the story

Which book do you wish you could have written?
