REVENANT

The ancient hand-mirror that Lou picks up in Gina and Ann Marie DiCarlo’s REVENANT contains the spirt of Romanian sorceress Sabina, who wastes no time possessing Lou body and soul. Sabina is eager to resurrect her long-dead lesbian lover, Xenia, and resume her reign of terror. But Lou’s sister, Renee, and their hunky photographer friends race to the rescue, hoping to smash the mirror and break Sabina’s hold over Lou. The DiCarlo’s, a mother-daughter writing team, have crafted a fun supernatural romp full of B-movie twists and beloved genre tropes, including crumbling European castles, ancient curses, and vampire/werewolf hybrids but it’s Lou and Renee’s sisterly love and sense of family responsibility make this novel tick.
