A necessary and important book, LILA AND LUCAS follows a group of twenty-somethings trying to figure out their place in the world whilst fighting to overcome issues such as stigma, anxiety and depression. The novel sensitively deals with heavy topics, deftly communicating traumatic experiences with grace. A sobering read which promises an ultimately optimistic outlook on the future.
