IR VERDICT:
Christian Galacar’s thrilling and enjoyable (if sometimes disturbing tale), BIG BAD, tells the story of what happens when Emma’s sister, Molly, dies in an apparent suicide and Emma can’t accept it. Her subsequent investigations in a sleepy New England island unearth dark secrets about its residents, ones that link to Emma’s past and which threaten to put her own life in danger.
