IR VERDICT:
BLOOD ON THE IRON HARD GROUND explores the love story of Lieutenant Isobella Harris and soldier Chris Roberts, as it unfolds among the turmoil of the Balkans War. The novel’s romance is touching, but author Bob Parr doesn’t sugar-coat the harrowing nature of the conflict, and does an excellent job portraying the many ways that trauma can impact both military personnel and citizens caught in a war zone.
