THE WITCHES OF RIEGERSBURG, Julie Anne Stratton’s fascinating novel, follows the lineage of three women from Austria in 1665 to modern day Seattle, determined to keep the Goddess religion alive. Set against witch burnings, Hitler’s treatment of the Nazis, and using religion for personal gain, this novel unfolds plenty of surprises. The heart of it, however, lies in the hearts of the three protagonists: strong, determined, dedicated women.
