From Patriarchy to Paradise (It’s about time) received a 4+ star review, making it an IndieReader Approved title.

Following find an interview with author Jerry Schaefer.

What is the name of the book and when was it published?

From Patriarchy to Paradise (It’s about time). Published November, 2024.

What’s the book’s first line?

“Adam and Eve had everything they could possibly want in the fabled garden of Eden.”

What’s the book about? Give us the “pitch”.

From Patriarchy to Paradise, it’s about time, punctures the patriarchal balloon – it was just hot air! Even so, there’s still a disaster looming for us unless we choose Paradise. The author offers his own experience as proof positive that it’s possible.

What inspired you to write the book?

I see more and more people waking up to the beauty of the planet, to the miracle of human beings. I want to further that conversation and experience.

What’s the main reason someone should really read this book?

You should read this book if you want an overview of how we got “here,“ as well as pointers on how to get “there,” (a new  reality).

When did you first decide to become an author?

When I was a junior in high school, an English teacher liked a one page writing exercise that I did (I just let my imagination go and wrote something that I thought was crazy).

Version 1.0.0

Is this the first book you’ve written?

No, I’ve written several others. One in particular is related to this one, Women: Down through the Ages, How lies have Shaped our Lives.

What do you do for work when you’re not writing?

When I’m not working on a book, I spend time jotting down notes and ideas for my next project or else I’m promoting the current one. When working on a book I spend from 2 to 6 hours a day writing.

What’s the best and the hardest part of being an indie?

Hardest part: you do everything yourself. The best part: you get to do it at your own pace, in your own way, and market it as you want.

What’s a great piece of advice that you can share with fellow indie authors?

Advice: when you think it’s finished, let someone edit it!

Would you go traditional if a publisher came calling?

I would welcome the traditional publishing route, if only for the experience.

Is there something in particular that motivates you?

It seems there’s something pushing me to write, that this “thing” needs to be said. earlier on, yes, fame and fortune!

Which writer, living or dead, do you most admire?

Cervantes.

Which book do you wish you could have written?

Don Quixote.
