A list of murder suspects narrows to the residents of a small BC island, yet as the threats grow, the heroine learns nothing is simple as the possibilities expand worldwide. Shapiro writes with genuine intrigue, manipulating the mystery so readers suspect they know who did it, only to be upended with even more unforeseen twists and turns.
William H. Coles’ historical fiction novel, TOUR OF DUTY, is set in the first six years of the 1960s and follows doctor Miles Ballard as he sets forth on his first assignment for the US Air Force in France. The story’s narrative wanders, with multiple characters entering and exiting and features an intriguing plot with fascinating twists and turns.
Author Mary Dezember brilliantly blends history with the dilemmas of the present day in WILD CONVICTION, an epic young adult story that examines a shameful time in American history. The thrilling plot will keep readers engaged and the mix of history, fantasy, magic, and love offer a little something for everyone. The protagonist, Twilight Wild Adams, is an endearing character that readers will find it easy to cheer for and the journey she undertakes illustrates the author’s superb character development abilities.
A STOLEN DIARY exposes family secrets in this meticulously crafted story by Kathryn Lane. The tension ratchets up from a slow build to an explosive reveal of a surprising turn of events, keeping readers engaged in this coming-of-age suspense. Lane has created such detail in the characters and setting that it fully immerses the reader in this family drama.
THE HUNT FOR THE PEGGY C by John Winn Miller is a fast-paced World War II high seas adventure. The Peggy C is a Tramp Steamer cargo ship whose crew attacked and kidnapped a German U boat boarding party after they discovered evidence of smuggling and so is being relentlessly hunted. Nazis make great villains, especially when they are obsessed and vengeful. The author’s attention to detail is incredible which makes the reader feel as if they are aboard for the ride. Even the Acknowledgements and About the Author sections are interesting reading.

FINE DINING: The Secrets Behind the Restaurant Industry by Jack Rasmussen teaches readers about the ins and outs of the business, and what it takes to get food to the table. History, trivia, and amusing stories are mixed in with facts about the restaurant industry. If you like to read, like to eat, and want someone else to do the cooking, here’s an eye-opener for something new on the literary menu.
Hannah D. State’s JOURNEY TO THE DARK GALAXY (book 2 in The Dark Galaxy Series) is a page-turning science fiction novel rich with captivating characters and a superb plot. The intrigue never ceases, making it well worth the read.

Furthermore, the characters in this book are developed with great craft alongside the riveting plot.
