What inspired you to write the book? A particular person? An event?
Blood Perfect is the second in the Joe Turner series. My debut novel, Good Lookin, A Joe Turner Mystery won the 2022 Independent Press Award for Crime Fiction and a Chanticleer International Book Award. I am a criminal defense attorney, so I have a trove of material that will keep Joe Turner busy for years.
What’s the most distinctive thing about the main character?
The main character, Joe Turner, is like me, except more of everything—better looking, funnier, and a better attorney. He drinks more, eats more junk food, and if possible, more sarcastic.
