What is the name of the book and when was it published?

No One Can Tell You Who You Are Except You; published 2021.

What’s the book’s first line?

Welcome to the Life Essence Tribe!

What’s the book about? Give us the “pitch”.

If you want to be loved, you must first accept and love every part of you. Reexamining and discarding what no longer serves you both internally and externally will teach you to connect with yourself and others to enjoy a fulfilling life. Your inner toolbox possesses everything you need. You have no idea how much abundance is waiting for you until you repattern your blueprint to believe that you deserve it.

What inspired you to write the book? A particular person? An event?

I started my career as a clothing designer and wardrobe stylist. Working with a client to clear out their closet is very intimate. The many personal stories they shared with me made me realize that a person’s internal closet is a reflection of their self-worth. Repatterning your blueprint to love yourself requires acknowledging and accepting every part of you. It begins a healthy journey.

What’s the main reason someone should really read this book?

The book is to look at all your parts with compassion, even when healing from trauma. Loving your whole self lets you choose healthy relationships to experience a fulfilling, joyful life. When you know who you are, no one can tell you who you are, or who you should be.

When did you first decide to become an author?

I’ve been keeping a diary/journal since I was a child. I have a lot of curiosity and questions.

Is this the first book you’ve written?

Yes.

What do you do for work when you’re not writing?

I am a wellness consultant with a private clientele and participate in international wellness seminars.

How much time do you generally spend on your writing?

I write every day.

What’s the best and the hardest part of being an indie?

The best part is that I love when people tell me they relate to what I have written or told them. It’s very healing. I think we are more alike than we know.  The hardest part is that I’m an introvert!

What’s a great piece of advice that you can share with fellow indie authors?

Believe in yourself and don’t let anybody tell you who you are. Only you know that.

Would you go traditional if a publisher came calling?  If so, why?

I would, because I would like more people to know how important it is to be whole. If I had interest from a publisher, it would be welcomed.

Is there something in particular that motivates you (fame? fortune?)

What motivates me is my desire to be comfortable with myself.

Which writer, living or dead, do you most admire?

Oscar Wilde.

Which book do you wish you could have written?

The Little Prince, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
