IR Approved Author Thomas H. Goodfellow Tells All About His Book

The Insurmountable Edge (Book 2) received a 4+ star review, making it an IndieReader Approved title.

Following find an interview with author Thomas H. Goodfellow.

What is the name of the book and when was it published?

The Insurmountable Edge – A Story in Three Books (Book Two) was published August 15th, 2021.

What’s the book’s first line?

“Haley stopped the film and I told her I’d get back to her.”

What’s the book about? Give us the “pitch”.

The story begins with the main characters – a pair of military misfits and a wild teenager – being visited by a damsel-in-distress who needs help proving her U.S. defense company is under attack. To further complicate things, the story’s hero, General Jack Wilder, is suffering from PTSD. Book Two picks up after Wilder agrees to help the vexing damsel and begins to unravel a plot that seemingly stems from personal and sinister motivations.

What inspired you to write the book? A particular person? An event?

We live in a world where sometimes the people that are supposed to protect us are actually the ones doing the harm. This story is a realistic look at what goes on behind enemy lines.

What’s the main reason someone should really read this book?

If it’s true that life imitates art, a war with China could be on the horizon.

What’s the most distinctive thing about the main character?  Who-real or fictional-would you say the character reminds you of?

This review says it best: “If James Bond and John Rambo were mated in a secret government super-soldier laboratory — and the resulting male child raised by double dads Jack Ryan and Jason Bourne — he might grow up to be General Jack Wilder…” – Rob Errera, IndieReader
