IR VERDICT:
THE ’49 INDIAN by Craig Moody is at once a coming-of-age road trip and tragic love story. Set during an oft neglected part of history, it follows two boys on both a physical trip across America and the emotional journey of their relationship, building to a poignant realization of the story’s true meaning. Definitely a story worth reading.
