What is the name of the book and when was it published?

The name of my book is How to Meditate and Why.  It was published in 2015.

What is the book’s first line?

The term meditation refers to a vast array of practices that include techniques designed to create awareness, promote inner peace, encourage well-being, as well as develop mindfulness, intuition, compassion and patience.

What is the book about?

How to Meditate and Why offers stories, advice, history, method and a philosophical guideline to meditation at a level approachable to all.  Learn where meditation comes from and how and why this ancient practice is necessary and relevant in modern times. Gain understanding of how and why meditation fits into your life. Meditation looks different wherever you go, but it can help you wherever you are.

What inspired you to write the book?

I was inspired by the many different ways to approach meditation, and making it accessible to others.

What is the most distinctive thing about the main character?

While this is a non-fiction book, the main character is really the Self: the reader.

What is the main reason that someone should read this book?

To become more mindful of your individual needs and discover the benefits of meditation.

Is this your first book?

Yes, this is the first book I have written.

What do you do when you’re not writing?

When I am not writing, I teach Yoga and Meditation and offer Health and Wellness Counseling.

What’s the best part of being an indie?  Would you go traditional if you could?

Being an Indie Author has been an empowering experience. Yes, I am open to traditional publishing and aspire to reach many more readers.
