IR VERDICT:
EPHEMERAL is the story of a woman’s journey of self-discovery, healing, and love. When Clarissa takes up horseback riding as research for a screenplay she’s writing, she finds herself unexpectedly drawn to horsemanship and riding in a powerful way; and Clarissa’s relationship with her horse Sonny–and her trainer–change her life in ways she never expected. Although the ending seemed a bit abrupt, overall EPHEMERAL is a well-written spin on a classic “girl and her horse” story.
