IR VERDICT:
WARFAIR4 is an experimental novel about the collapse of economic markets. Written as part dialogue, part stream-of-consciousness, it is a treatise examining the woes of the 1%. Unfortunately, the novel fails to develop the cadence that holds together experimental works. This genre isn’t supposed to be an easy read, but with its over-abundance of punctuation and lack of rhythm, rather than challenge, this work bogs down the reader. As the premise is timely and there are some notable bright spots, with the right editor, this novel might shine, but without flow, it becomes tedious.
