Vincent Hunanyan’s lyrically written BLACK BOOK OF POEMS has a sorrowful tone to it, ranging from wistful regrets to raging and anguish. However, the author’s tendency to use a consistent, light, bright AABB or ABAB rhyme scheme is somewhat jarring. That may be intentional, but it detracts somewhat from the emotional force of the work.
