Following find an interview with author Michael Phillip Cash.
What is the name of the book and when was it published?
Monsterland, published October 3, 2015
What’s the book’s first line?
The sky was a sparkling, powder blue, mosquitoes droned lazily over the tepid water frogs croaked messages while they sunbathed on wax lily pads.
What’s the book about? Give us the “pitch”.
A teen must save his date in a theme park whose main attractions – real werewolves, vampires and zombies – descend the place into chaos.
What inspired you to write the book? A particular person? An event?
My son and I were watching a Jurassic Park marathon and I have been wanting to write a monster book for a very long time…it was all downhill from there.
What’s the main reason someone should really read this book?
The Werewolf River Run. Think Disney’s Splash Mountain, but instead of being surrounded by silly animatronics, you are being chased on a flume by real werewolves.
