IR Sticker IR ApprovedDemons received a 4+ star review, making it an IndieReader Approved title.

Following find an interview with author Ednah Walters.

What is the name of the book and when was it published?

Demons (Eirik Book 1). Published December 15th, 2015.

What’s the book’s first line?

“The cold hit me hard as the portal to Earth closed behind me.”

What’s the book about? Give us the “pitch”.

The book is about a journey of self-discovery for our hero Eirik Baldurson, who travels to the Norse underworld to meet his parents for the first time. Raise on Earth, Eirik struggles to adapt to things in another realm and a mother determined to mold him into the future leader of the gods. So when a snarky Witch astral projects to his realm from Earth and needs his help getting back, he finds focus, a purpose, and the start of a beautiful relationship. He has no idea that she is just a pawn in a twisted game by an enemy of his mother who sees him as her ultimate weapon.

What inspired you to write the book? A particular person? An event?

My son. I have one son and four daughters, and watching him navigate his teenage years made me appreciate his point of view.

What’s the main reason someone should really read this book?

Most of YA coming-of-age books focus on girls and the hero they meet during this important stage of their lives. I wanted to focus on a young man and how he deals with those he meets during the same period. From the girl he falls in love with, a supernatural gift he never knew he had, to  relationships with his parents and friends.
