Yaeger concludes that happiness can be born out of tragedy. That it is hidden and often has nothing at all to do with laughter. We can think of terrible things that happen in our lives, that in the end, bring us unexpected joy. Happiness is a subtle thread that weaves throughout each of our lives and it’s our job to be conscious enough to recognize and seize it in the moment, for exactly what it is.
In the end, “Happiness” is not a book instructing us how to be “happy”. It is a work for readers who are looking for a thought-provoking and enticing read.
