5 Shots,a graphic novel by Jemir Robert Johnson, weaves five tales of murder, mayhem and action surrounding Jay Nova, an African American woman and a private eye who can read people’s minds.
Each of the stories seemed very rushed–almost incomprehensible–and the characters very cookie-cutter. The drawings are top-notch but that doesn’t help when you’re not interested in what is going on.
