God’s Love We Deliver, the New York City metropolitan area’s leading provider of nutritious, individually-tailored meals to people who are too sick to shop or cook for themselves, recently launched their first-ever (indie-pubbed) cookbook.
Entitled God’s Love We Deliver Cookbook: Nourishing Stories and Recipes from Notable Friends, the book features stories and recipes from 75 supporters of God’s Love, including Meryl Streep, Alice Waters, Michael Anthony, and Katie Couric, among many others. All of the book’s proceeds go to support God’s Love.
Born of the idea that the sharing or preparing of a meal is among the greatest acts of love, this intimate and exquisitely photographed compilation reaffirms and reminds us that many of our most precious and cherished moments occur around the dinner table and in the kitchen. From Jennifer Hudson’s Feta-Stuffed Chicken Burgers to Ina Garten’s Roast Turkey (Garten also wrote the book’s intro) and Michael Kors’ pineapple Upside Down cake, each contribution offers a glimpse into the home of the recipe-giver and is certain to inspire the marking of new memories.
