Every month, Joel Friedlander, aka The Book Designer, invites authors to submit their books for his “Ebook Cover Design Award“. The complete list can be found at Mr. Friedlander’s site.
And the winners are…
FICTION
Masha du Toit submitted “The Story Trap” designed by Masha du Toit.
Joel Friedlander: Terrific. There are very few authors who can draw well enough to do something like this, but writer and artist Masha du Toit gets it perfect here. The simple but enigmatic drawing combines seamlessly with the typography to create a really good ebook cover.
NON-FICTION
Clay Rivers submitted “Walking Tall: A Memoir About the Upside of Small and Other Stuff” designed by Clay Rivers.
Joel Friedlander: The author is also an actor and graphic designer, and his skills at layout and typography are on display here in the cover for his memoir. Great job.
