John Locke First Indie Author to Hit 1 Million Mark on Kindle

So this is the deal with indie authors.  You’re already buying their books!

Case in point: Today, Amazon.com announced that John Locke has become the first self published author to sell over 1 million paid copies in the Kindle Store, meaning that he joins Stieg Larsson, James Patterson, Nora Roberts, Charlaine Harris, Lee Child, Suzanne Collins and Michael Connelly in the Kindle Million Club.

Locke also has the distinction of having a New York Times bestselling e-book, Saving Rachel, despite the fact that the NYTimes has said that it would not include indie books in their bestseller list.

What does this mean for you, readers looking for the best indie books?  It means that you’re not alone.  It means that there are many others (as of June 19, Locke has sold 1,010,370 Kindle books!) who are reading and enjoying the work of indie authors.  And IndieReader, the essential guide to self-pubbed books and the people who write them, is here to help you find them.
