This novel is filled with colorful, personal details of the lives of an ancient people.
The compelling story of the wandering nation of Israel following their escape from Egypt and 40 years of exile in the desert.

Subtitled “God’s Equal Rights Amendment,” this re-issue of a book previously published by Thomas Nelson Publishers is the story of the wandering nation of Israel following their escape from Egypt and 40 years of exile in the desert.

Rizpah is one of five daughters of Zelophehad, whose death leaves his female heirs without rights. Rizpah’s fiery nature soon rights this wrong as she petitions Moses on behalf of herself and her sisters, but she is not as successful in offering her love to Caleb, one of the nation’s leaders.

Set in the tumultuous time when the Israelite’s are striving to get to the Promised Land, this novel is filled with colorful, personal details of the lives of an ancient people, readying themselves for war to conquer Canaan while they struggle for survival and to discern God’s will.

The love stories and interpersonal relationships among the tribes seem especially fresh and modern. The story adds another dimension to the historic outlines most of us know from the Bible.
